In 2000, after 20 years as a marketing professional, I wanted to steer my livelihood in a direction that supported a healthier lifestyle. It took a few years, but I eventually formed WorkingWell, a business that allows me to be well and offer wellness service to others.
To start with though, I had to admit that I was a stressed out 43-year old marketing manager with a sore back, radiating pain in my shoulders, and a nagging sense that I wasn't doing what I was supposed to be doing in life. I felt tired and uninspired as well as achy and inflexible.
After a brief vacation to a New England yoga retreat, I started doing yoga regularly and found that it was giving me just what I needed. After practice I felt refreshed and relaxed and I was gaining a sense of physical strength, wellbeing and steadiness of mind.

I started teaching yoga in 2002 and completed the Anusara-Inspired Teacher's Certification in 2006.
That same year, I was licensed and certified in GYROTONIC® -- a form of exercise that helps you move as freely as possible. By combining the movements of dance, yoga, Tai Chi and swimming, it helps lengthen muscles, open joints and improve balance. The Gyrotonic movement has proven to be powerful and a great compliment to Anusara-Inspired Yoga.
Yoga and Gyrotonic training have changed my body and my life. I'm so grateful for that. My husband Bill does yoga daily and also teaches. And he finds Gyrotonic exericse is just the thing to efficiently and gently open up the spine and shoulders afterlong hours of driving or working. Our spoiled Golden Retriever Robi never misses an opportunity to plop herself down near the yoga mat as we move through poses and she loves the rest pose at the end when she curls up next to my hip.
