Adirondack Lake Retreat: Camp Lifwynn
A short canoe trip across a pristine Adirondack Mountain lake brings you to Camp Lifwynn. This rustic retreat center on Lake Chateaugay amidst tall pines has a large dining hall and ten cozy private cabins, all with wood stoves.
Settle in for the weekend, September 12-14, 2008. Listen to loons call, watch the mist rise off the water, breath deeply of crisp mountain air. Take a paddle, read a book, hike the trails, stare into the campfire. Enjoy the fresh vegetarian meals prepared for you.
And do Yoga!
Get Inspired. Get Renewed. Get Energized. Get Relaxed.
Whether you are new to yoga or are a seasoned yoga practitioner, you’ll enjoy this 3-day yoga retreat in a beautiful rustic setting featuring daily yoga sessions taught by Registered Yoga Teachers Bill and Andrea O’Connor.
Special programming this weekend includes: Yoga and Chocolate, the Avant Yoga Wine Tasting and Together Yoga (with partners)!
Created in the early 1900s, Camp Lifwyn was a retreat center for renowned physician Dr. Burrows and colleagues from New York City. Maids served afternoon tea; butlers heated the bath water.
Today, Burrow’s descendants have retained the turn-of-the century flavor for guests.
• a natural fresh spring keeps food and drinks cold
• kerosene or propane lamps light the night
• a motor boat ferries guests to camp OR bring your own canoe or kayak to explore the lake inlets and shorelines
• wood heat in every cabin chases off the chills
• walking trails, stargazing and campfires
• no cell phones, no TV, no computers, no electricity, no distractions
With the added benefit of Yoga!
